Three weeks in Japan: Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science, Hokkaido University

ABSTRACT

The Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science at Hokkaido University, “Collaborative Research and Education on Global Health”, is the program which is based on the collaboration with consortium for global health research and education to share opportunities for learning basic concepts of epidemiology and scopes of global health for youth researchers among member universities.

The program started on Monday 8th December and run till Friday 25th December 2015. A total number of 12 participants are from Thailand, Philippines, Sri Lanka, and South Korea. Moreover, the program also invited students from Nagoya University and Hokkaido University for sharing research experiences. 

The aim of this seminar is to share our 3 week experiences in Hokkaido University, for both academic activities and impressive moments in Japan. We would like to discuss what we have learned and express our feelings from being an exchange student in this program.
