Abstract
Understanding the context of sexual orientation and gender identity is vital to positive health outcomes for sexual diversity groups including those who identify themselves as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex and those who haven’t yet identified themselves. Currently, there is a common global challenge on how to best provide services to these populations. Therefore, understanding sexual orientation and gender identity can help improve public health program and its implications for relevant frameworks, program monitoring and evaluation.
