Under the RGJ-Ph.D. Program which provides grant support for students to gain international research experience, I had opportunity to learn more in Newcastle University Institute for Ageing, Newcastle University, UK. The main academic area is health expectancy in the older adults under the supervision of Prof Carol Jagger, who is recognised as the UK’s leading research expert on healthy life expectancy and its use to monitor population ageing.
In this seminar, I would like to share the experience in many aspects including academic (studies of health expectancy), research projects in the elderly, surrounding environment (institute, city), and REVES meeting.
