Qualtric: Application for Mobile Data Collection

Qualtric: Application for Mobile Data Collection

ABSTRACT

IPSR is working with John Hopkins University and amfAR (American Foundation for AIDS Research) on the project to assess knowledge and attitudes of female sex workers about Pre-exposure prophylaxis (or PrEP), which is to take HIV medicines daily to lower the chances of getting HIV infected. The quantitative survey tool is developed using Qualtrics, which is a survey software platform that allows for electronic and mobile survey building and data collection. Originally designed for marketing research, Qualtrics is now widely used for academic data collection purposes. This seminar will familiarize attendees with use of the Qualtrics platform. Topics will include registering an account with Qualtrics, basic survey design, editing, distribution, and data extraction.
