Abstract

Under the Newton Fund-Thailand Research Fund Ph.D. Placement which provides grant support for Ph.D. students to experience research working with international perspective and enhance international collaborative skills in UK, the presenter had opportunity to learn in Centre for Global Mental Health, Health Service & Population Research Department, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), King’s College London, UK for 8 months. The main academic area is care burden among caregivers of older people under supervision of Dr. Rosie Mayson and Prof. Martin Prince, who lead the 10/66 Dementia Research network in Low-income and Middle-income countries.
 
In this seminar, the presenter would like to share the experience in many aspects including academic research projects in the older people(studies of caregiver burden), King’s Doctoral training, Part-time English class at UCL, and surrounding environment and system (institute, city, country).
