Surviving a dissertation: an educational perspective on postgraduate research

The aim of this seminar is to provide practical guidelines for completing a dissertation in preparation for the thesis proposal defense. The guidelines are primarily based on personal experience but will be explained in reference to Wongwanich and Viratchai’s ‘Guidelines for Thesis Counseling’ and Kaemkate’s ‘Research Methodology in Behavioral Sciences’. The scope of the seminar will focus on defining a research problem, developing a conceptual framework, designing research, creating research tools, and determining population and sampling. This seminar will be beneficial for academic mentors, thesis advisors and co-advisors, as well as postgraduate students.
