Abstract
International students of the Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR) both master and PhD in demography and reproductive health had a field trip to Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai provinces from December 16th to 20th of 2019. The main objective of this trip was to students visit the hospitals, health related education institutes, and civil registration centers which provide demographic and reproductive health relevant services to the people. Student participated in the presentation provide by Kon Wai Sai, and Health Science institutes which provide sexuality education and information for teenagers and HIV related services including efforts for avoiding stigma and discrimination related to people with HIV respectively. Student also visited Mae Suai a 60 bedded district Hospital as the secondary health care center that provide the maternal and child health care services with the hospital guideline in a high level coverage including voluntary blood testing services in schools, free condom deliveries, and reproductive health education. Further, student participated to the presentation arranged by Saraphee hospital the provincial hospital which provides the Reproductive Health and health care for migrants, including HIV test and ART care. Most of People Who Live with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV) refer Saraphee hospital to get ART care and avoid the stigma. Visiting Civil Registration Administration that is responsible for documentation, controlling related fraud, Issuing and renew ID card for Thai and migrants, smart card system (mobile unit for disabled people, elderly people), and support all 9 provincial offices were another activity student toke part.
At the end Student have also learned about the socio-economic development of Doi Tung place in Chiang Rai.
