Abstract
The article presents the main results of the study on educational migration from Kazakhstan to Hong Kong, including an assessment of the volume and structure of a potential migration flow, influencing the creation of migratory preferences and the intentions of the Kazakhstan atitories, and the prospects for return. The emmit base of research results from the survey of 232 kazakh students of six of the Hong Kong's top universities. The study methodology is based on analysis of factors determining the social and economic status of the family of the student, the level of schooling, nationality, the knowledge of foreign languages.
The study showed that graduates of specialized schools more frequently express propensity for migration from Kazakhstan. Interest is manifested in the scientific, engineering and business specialities. Migration in Hong Kong stimulates factors associated with friendly environments, large expectations of employment, and prospects to find sustained professional links. As a rap, the factor has been exhibiting the unsatisfactory level of the standard of education and generally the political and the economical aspects of life within the country. The return to Kazakhstan is of a forced character, determined by the existence of social connections and the real possibility of obtaining adequate incomes.
