The Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, invites applications for the position of Lecturer, detailed as follows:

  1. Position:
    Lecturer, with a doctorate degree (see detailed information attached)
  2. Qualification:
    Applicant must hold qualifications as per Mahidol University’s Regulation on University Staff 2551 (2008). Furthermore, the applicant must be qualified for the position, as outlined below.

    – MU Grad Plus 90 or more
    – CU-TEP 75 or more
    – TU-GET (Paper Based) 550 or more
    – TU-GET (Computer Based) 80 or more
    Note: 1) Demonstration of proficiency is exempt for applicants who completed a PhD
    program taught in English (international programs) from countries that use
    English as their official language.
    2) An English test result must be valid within two years.
    3.7 A copy of house registration and ID card (Thai nationals) or a copy of passport (foreign applicants)
    3.8 Two recommendation letters from two previous employers and/or dissertation committee advisors with their contact details

  • Vacant position: Lecturer (one position)
  • Qualification:
    – Doctorate degree in demography or any fields related to applied demography in such areas as population studies, statistics, data sciences, public health, epidemiology, geography, economics, sociology
    – who is capable and/or committed to teaching one or more of the following subjects: demography, direct or indirect demographic techniques; and
    – who has research interests in the following areas: demography, population projection, sexual and reproductive health, aging, migration, labor, children and youth, climate changes, or other emerging issues; and
    – A proficient user of Thai and English
  • Responsibilities and job description:
    – Securing research grants
    – Conducting research and publication
    – Teaching/training, supervising, and providing academic mentorship to students at the graduate level
    – Carrying out other academic service duties as assigned
  • Salary: Base salary of 41,000 Baht/month (excluding academic position allowance)
