ABSTRACT
Cancer is one of the leading causes of deaths in the industrialized world. Many studies demonstrated that cancer incidence and mortality of distinct sub-population (e.g. migrants) differ from cancer pattern of the general population. Those differences may be explained by (I) diverse risk factor pattern (mainly influencing incidence, mortality) and (II) a different health care utilization (mainly influencing survival, mortality). Therefore, a detailed analysis of cancer rates among sub-populations may not only improve their health, but also help to understand etiology of cancer types. This presentation is going to summarize ongoing research in a unique subpopulation of Germany.
