Lecturer. Dr. Truc Ngoc Hoang Dang- the Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR), Mahidol University presented topic “Thailand’s response to a low-fertility and aged society” at “the 7th Family Policy Experts Meeting in the Asia-Pacific Region”, at Seoul, Republic of Korea, from 18-19 Oct 2023. This meeting is hosted by the OECD and the OECD Korea Policy Centre.
The purpose of the two-day meeting is to discuss fertility trends and bring together experts from Asian countries who have been working to establish the OECD’s Family Database in the Asia Pacific region to better analyse and tackle various issues affecting population trends such as low fertility and aging population with an aim to contribute to effective family policies in respective countries.
