Abstract

Brexit, the historical referendum separating Britain from the EU has created a gigantic twist in the 65-year history of the union. This change starts to affects the domestic affairs within Britain as well as the entirety of the EU. The trace of economic integration marked by the EU that has led countries of other regions bounding to an effective bilateral and multilateral economic cooperation is being challenged. How efficient and sustainable it is? Why does the form of supranational government that well function for the United States fail for the EU? How will the economic and political divorce, after many decades of cohesion and with the geographical juxtaposition, work?What are the commonalities and differences between the regional integration of Europe and ASEAN? What are the strengthand weaknesses of ASEAN’s gradual political and economic cooperation?
