Seminar for Network Expansion and Presentation of the MoveD Flag: Building Bridges from Community to Government Sectors to End Discrimination Against Vulnerable/Marginalized Populations

On March 27, 2024, at Lavender Room 2, 3rd floor, TK Building 3, TK Palace Hotel, Associate Professor Dr. Suchada Thaweesit delivered a lecture on the topic “Breaking the Cycle of Discrimination” at a seminar aimed at expanding networks and presenting the MoveD flag. The seminar aimed to foster collaboration from friends to friends, extending from the community to the government sector, with the goal of eradicating discrimination against vulnerable and marginalized populations. Representing the Institute for Population and Social Research at Mahidol University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suchada Thaweesit received the MoveD flag, marking the institute as the only academic institution to join the people’s network in combating discrimination alongside civil society organizations, government agencies, and over 60 international organizations. During the seminar, the network collectively resolved to advance the drafting of legislation to eliminate discrimination against persons. Furthermore, on March 28, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suchada Thaweesit handed over the MoveDi flag to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chalermpol Chamchan, Director of the Institute for Population and Social Research at Mahidol University, for installation at the institute.
