Between 13 – 14 July 2023, the team supported the drive for area-based education management to reduce inequality (Smile Team) at the Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University. The team was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyawat Katewongsa, along with professors from the regional smile team, including Ajarn Dr. Nuchanart Muenchan and Ajarn Dr. Wiwan Sukcharoen Ketkaew from the Faculty of Business Administration and Communication Arts, University of Phayao, as well as researchers from the Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University.
The primary focus of the discussion was to present a central metric data dashboard and resource list covering three critical issues: 1) quality of life, 2) education, health, and 3) specific issues. Additionally, a database system was launched to monitor situations that could lead to educational disparities in children and youth within the province. The event took place at the Faculty of Education, Lampang Rajabhat University, where Asst. Prof. Dr. Wiyada Lemtrakul, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Lampang Rajabhat University, and Director Wiboon Tanuchit, vice chairman of the Nakhon Lampang Education Assembly, presided over the meeting’s opening.
