The 2023 National Population Conference

On April 27, 2023, the College of Population Studies at Chulalongkorn University, in conjunction with the Thai Population Association and the Institute for Population and Social Research at Mahidol University, organized the 2023 National Population Conference. The conference was honored by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wiraporn Pothisiri, President of the Thai Population Association, who gave an opening speech. Professor Sergei Scherbov from the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), Austria, also gave a speech on the topic of “Mortality and Prospective Longevity in Thailand” at the Mandarin Bangkok Hotel, Bangkok, under the Foundation of Professor Dr. Wisit Prachuapmoh.

During the academic conference, Emeritus Professor Apichat Chamratrithirong participated as an advisor to the association, and Prof. Dr. Patama Vapattanawong was a speaker in the academic discussion on the topic of “How to make Thai people live long and healthy.” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bhubate Samutachak, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aree Jampaklay, Director of the Institute for Population and Social Research, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sutthida Chuanwan moderated and judged the articles.

  • Ms. Putsorn Mingtaisong| Topic: Adjustment of Filipino teachers working in Thailand.
