On October 18, 2022, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sirinya Phulkerd, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teeranong Sakulsri and Ms. Natjera Thongcharoenchupong, Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, attended a meeting with The Center of Research Excellence in Food Retail Environments for Health (RE-FRESH) at Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia. RE-FRESH is the world’s first international center for research and environmental policy in food retailing under a collaboration between Deakin University, Monash University, The George Institute for Global Health, the University of Queensland, the Obesity Policy Coalition, the University of Auckland, YMCA and Dalhousie University. On this occasion, the Institute faculty members participated in learning and exchanging research work and driving food retail environments in Thailand with RE-FRESH, and discussed information collaboration between The South East Asia Obesogenic Food Environment (SEAOFE) project sponsored by the International Development Research Center and the project UNICEF-Deakin Reshaping Urban Food Retail Environments in the East-Asia And Pacific Region of RE-FRESH, with the institute being the country lead of Thailand for both projects.
