For this time, Universiti Sains Malaysia have managed to put together a webinar, titled "State and Community Responses to Covid-19 in Southeast Asia", on 15 September 2020, 2pm-4pm Malaysia/Manila Time.  All the panelists are doing this as a pro bono work, in the spirit of scholarly ASEANism and for the sake of more inter-SEA conversation. About the speakers: 
 
Dr. Cleovi C. Mosuela is a postdoctoral researcher at the Center on Migration, Citizenship and Development, Faculty of Sociology, Bielefeld University, Germany. Her research interests include migration-mobility – its relationship with labor, environmental change, development, and security – decolonization and care ethics. She is currently working on a project on migrant precariousness and caring practices in the context of climate change. She has recently published her first book entitled, 'Recuperating the Global Migration of Nurses.'  
 
Dr. Ron Bridget Vilog is an associate professor and former chairperson of the International Studies Department of De La Salle University. He obtained his PhD in International Development from the Graduate School of International Development (GSID) of Nagoya University, Japan through the Monbukagakusho Scholarship Program. Dr. Vilog has written research papers on the migration dynamics of Filipino workers in Japan. He has also conducted narrative research on Filipino nikkeijin and factory workers in Aichi prefecture.  
 
Dr Sudirman Nasir is a senior lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Hasanuddin in Makassar. He has conducted research on various issues related to drug use and HIV-AIDS in Indonesia. He has been involved in drug use and HIV prevention programs in Indonesia since the mid-1990s. He also serves as a vice president of the Indonesian Young Academy of Sciences (ALMI), and is a 2019 Eisenhower Fellow (Global Program). He has a Bachelor of Medical Sciences from Universitas Hasanuddin, and a masters degree and PhD from the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health at The University of Melbourne. 
 
Mr Kimkong Heng is a doctoral candidate in education at the University of Queensland, Australia. He is also a Visiting Senior Fellow at the Cambodian Institute for Cooperation and Peace and a co-founder of the Cambodian Education Forum. He has published several journal articles and book reviews as well as around 60 opinion pieces. His op-eds have appeared in East Asia Forum, the Diplomat, the Interpreter, Nikkei Asian Review, and the Phnom Penh Post, among others.
