Training workshop: Monitoring and Evaluation in Migrant Public Health Programs

The Institute of Population and Social Research (IPSR) and Mahidol Migration Center (MMC), in collaboration with the ASEAN institute for Health development, Institue of Human Rights & Peace Studies and GEM-Net Health (Public Health Foundation of India) will be hosting a workshop on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) from 22-26 May 2023 At ASEAN institute (Room 2106).

The workshop aims to provide social science students, civil society members, and public health practitioners with an introduction to M&E concepts and their practical application in Southeast Asia’s migrant communities.

The training will cover various topics, including fundamental principles, the use of key indicators, and evaluation methods for public health programs targeting migrants. The participants will gain knowledge and skills necessary for monitoring and evaluating public health initiatives related to communicable and non-communicable diseases, such as malaria, tuberculosis, HIV, and more. This workshop intends to bridge the gap between theoretical understanding and practical implementation of M&E in the context of migrant public health programs.
