Posters have become an increasingly popular instrument to present one’s research or academic activities. They are widely used in the academic community and most international conferences include poster sessions and presentations in their program. Academic posters summarize information or research concisely and attractively and usually consist of a mix of text, tables, figure etc.. This presentation provides formal and structural guidelines for poster presentations in academic contexts and discusses strengths and weaknesses of “sample posters”.
If anyone is currently preparing an academic poster and would like to get feedback on his/her work, please send the poster (as PDF) to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will discuss it in the seminar. Send your posters until Tuesday 16 February.
