CANVAS for IPSR teaching and learning

CANVAS for IPSR teaching and learning

Abstract

CANVAS is a web-based learning management system (LMS) used in many K-12 and higher education programs around the world. The system allows instructors, students, and administrators to create, track and distribute e-learning contents via a single platform. Several instructors of IPSR started to use the system from the last academic year. Approximately 30% of students at IPSR have participated in the system as of September 2019.

In this Wednesday’s seminar, two IPSR instructors (Drs. Wakako Takeda and Sirinya Phulkerd) are going to share their experiences of using CANVAS for their research methodology and policy communication classes at IPSR. Ms. Farma Mangunsong, a PhD student of PhD Demography program will share her experiences from a student’s perspective. Then, the floor will be open for questions and discussions of using LMS for teaching and learning at IPSR.
