Biography:

Sunita has overall 17 years of work experience. For her  Ph.D. dissertation, she is working on infertility and assisted reproductive technologies in India. Prior to joining her Ph.D., she was working with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) as a consultant researcher. During her tenure with LSHTM she reviewed the large programme around the Social Franchisee model, mHealth innovation, and conducted an ethnography study on Community Health Workers across two States of India.
 
She was one of the External Review Group Members of WHO guidelines on health policy and system support for Community Health Workers. She had been involved in many qualitative and quantitative research studies on health, specifically with a focus on gender, maternal health, reproductive health, mental health and other non-communicable health issues.
 
Her areas of expertise are health systems, primary care, reproductive health, women's rights, community accountability, community health workers, mental health, ethnographic research, and maternal health.
