The discussion aimed to advance safe and sustainable local food system development through community-driven indicator data, reflecting local food situations and guiding future directions.
Key outcomes included:
- Promoting household vegetable gardening to reduce dependence on external food sources.
- Monitoring chemical residues in blood and food to inform local policy.
- Establishing “Green Markets” for chemical-free produce.
- Educating children and youth on food safety to nurture future advocates.
Sustainable local food systems require the combined efforts of government, local, and community sectors.
