From May 1st to 3rd, 2024, the Institute for Population and Social Research at Mahidol University organized the 34th Seminar on the Development of Research Management and Teaching in Graduate Programs at the Na Tree Thara Hotel in Samut Songkhram Province. The seminar aimed to integrate and review missions in teaching, research, academic services, and international relations work of the institute. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chalermpol Chamchan, the director of the institute, opened the seminar, while Asst. Prof. Dr. Pojjana Hunchangsith served as the chairman summarizing the results of the 33rd seminar and past operations.
During the event, various issues were jointly discussed as follows:
- Moving forward with research clusters, moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jongjit Rittirong, Deputy Director for Research
- Guidelines for promoting efficiency in research administration, joined by Acting Second Lieutenant Niphon Darawuttimaprakorn and Kanchana Thianlai, hosted by Kanya Apipornchaisakul.
- Guidelines and criteria for using AI in student work, moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Manasigan Kanchanachitra, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs.
- Expanding the student base: increasing access to undergraduate students, moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Manasigan Kanchanachitra, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs.
- Finding ways to improve academic services, moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Manasigan Kanchanachitra, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs.
- International relations and corporate communications to support research and education, moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Dusita Phuengsamran, Deputy Director for International Relations and Organization Communication
- Discussion of AUN-QA, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Manasigan Kanchanachitra, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs., and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jongjit Rittirong, Deputy Director for Research
