On April 11, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chalermpol Chamchan, Director of the Institute for Population and Social Research at Mahidol University, inaugurated the Songkran activities for the year 2024 under the theme “playing games, splashing water, and enjoying festivities,” aimed at preserving and continuing Thai culture. The event was attended by administrators, lecturers, researchers, officials, and students at room 101, located on the 1st floor of the Institute.
This year, the institute organized a Buddha image bathing ceremony, where water was poured to seek blessings from elder teachers. Additionally, an award-giving ceremony was held to honor Mahidol athletes and personnel for the year 2024. Furthermore, a cooking competition activity titled “Prachakorn Kitchen Competition” was organized to foster relaxation and encourage participation within the organization under the Happy Workplace initiative.
