From November 15 to 16, 2023, a workshop on the development of an integrated database was held at The Bed Vacation Rajamangala Hotel . Dr. Phakchuda Sereerat, Acting Education Officer, Region 5, led the event, focusing on supporting efforts to reduce educational inequality in Songkhla Province. The workshop involved participants from various government, private, and civil society agencies related to children and youth in the province. The main goal of the meeting was to create a provincial integrated strategy database to address educational inequality. This included developing a central database format and a data dashboard model. The Songyim Team led by Assoc.Prof. Dr. Piyawat Katewongsa from the Institute for Population and Social Research at Mahidol University facilitated discussions, addressing key indicators and resources related to quality of life, education, health, and specific issues. The workshop also tested the use of the province’s central database system and the dashboard model to identify and address situations contributing to educational inequality. The research team included various experts and facilitators, and Ms. Rangsima Limlertphanit, a Planning Management Specialist from the Fund for Educational Equality (EEF), participated in the workshop.
