From October 5th to 6th, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bhubate Samutachak, the head of the integrated health promotion project in school-age children, conducted a meeting aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of multi-sectoral work as part of an action research project supported by the National Public Health Foundation. Dr. Burathep Chokthananukul and Ms. Kanyapat Suttikasem from the Institute of Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, collaborated with the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), led by Ms. Natchaya Menthaisong, Director of the Research and Development of Innovative Teaching and Learning Group.
The meeting, which took place at Buddy Oriental Riverside Hotel, Nonthaburi, was presided over by Dr. Phuthon Chantahong Punyajaratham, Assistant Secretary-General of the Basic Education Commission. The special lecture topic was “Integrated Health Promotion Curriculum.” The primary objective of this meeting was to facilitate knowledge exchange and plan the integration of health promotion courses.
This event aimed to foster collaboration between OBEC personnel and the Ministry of Public Health to develop strategies for integrating health promotion projects into schools under OBEC. The outcomes will be used as policy proposals for relevant agencies.
