“Exercise with Dancing to the Beat of Music” promotes quality of life.

On August 19, 2023, a research team from the Institute for Population and Social Research at Mahidol University participated in the “Exercise by Dancing with Music Rhythm” event.

This event was organized by the Ngio Rai Sub-district Administrative Organization as part of the Quality of Life Development Project supported by Local Administrative Organizations. The project received research funding from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) through the Foundation of Thai Gerontology Research and Development institute (TGRI) program.

These activities were made possible through the collaboration between the project and local agencies. The aim was to promote social integration and physical activity, especially among the elderly population. Participants engaged in exercise routines accompanied by music, including aerobics, baslops, and dancing. These activities are designed to contribute to improved physical and mental health. The event is scheduled to take place every Monday to Friday evening from August to December 2023.
