On August 5, 2023, Dr. Weerapak Samsiripong, an alumnus of the Institute for Population and Social Research at Mahidol University, who completed the Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Demography and Social Research, received the outstanding thesis award (Distinguished Thesis Awards) for the fiscal year 2023 at the doctoral level in Category 4: Humanities, Social Sciences, Education, and Liberal Arts from the Graduate School. The thesis’s topic is “An Analysis of the Implementation of Policies for the Elimination of Industrially-Produced Trans Fatty Acids in Thailand: Content, Context, Process, and Actors.” This award was received together with Associate Professor Dr. Sirinya Phulkerd, the Principal Advisor. The award ceremony took place at Mahidol University’s Salaya campus.
