During July 26-28, 2023, Dr. Sarunya Sujaritpong and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teeranong Sakulsri, under the support of IDRC, Canada, attended the Asia Regional Learning Workshop for the Women RISE Initiative. The workshop was organized by the Health Population Research Organization (HPRO) and Monash University, Malaysia, with the aim to exchange knowledge and build partnerships between project funders in Asia and Southeast Asia. The focus of their project was on “Women Migrants’ Health and Work after COVID-19: An Intersectional Project” with a comparative study in Malaysia and Thailand. During the workshop, they collaborated with Dr. Sriprapha Petcharamesree from ProRights Foundation, Thailand/Chulalongkorn University, Dr. Sharuna Verghis from Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University Malaysia, Dr. Carmen Logie from the University of Toronto, Canada, and Dr. Lesley Gittings from Western University to plan the research together.
