On July 13, 2023, the staff of the Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, namely Assistant Professor Dr. Sirinya Phulkerd and Dr. Weerapak Samsiripong, attended the 3/2023 WHO-CCS NCDs Steering Committee Meeting, organized by the World Health Organization-Thai Government Cooperation Project Working Group (WHO-CCS NCDs), Division of Non-Communicable Diseases, Department of Disease Control, via the Zoom application.
During the meeting, Dr. Weerapak Samsiripong was invited as a guest speaker to present two topics: “Guidelines for promoting the cultivation of fruits and vegetables in households and communities in Thailand” and “Guidelines for enhancing the implementation of street food in Thailand.” The information shared in these presentations served as a basis for discussions on approaches to address these two issues in Thailand within the committee and its Sub-Committee for directing national policy.
