Between June 14-17, 2023, Associate Professor Dr. Piyawat Katewongsa, Dr. Dyah Anantalia Widyastari, and researchers from the Thailand Physical Activity Knowledge Development Center (TPAK) at the Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, participated in the 22nd Annual Meeting of the International Society of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity (ISBNPA) held at the Uppsala Konsert & Kongress (UKK) venue in Uppsala, Sweden. They presented their research findings through oral and poster presentations, covering four important topics:

- Mr. Narakorn Wongsing presented on “Investments in community-wide initiative in physical activity: how do we evaluate its implementation and public participation?” in an oral presentation format.

- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyawat Katewongsa presented on “Refining index to measure physical activity inequality: which group of population is the most vulnerable?”
- Lecturer Dr. Dyah Anantalia Widyastari presented on “Effectiveness of a Whole-of-School Intervention to Improve Physical Activity for Children: Evidence from Cohort Study in Primary Schools in Thailand.”
- Ms. Nattaporn Nilwatta presented on “Policy evaluation on the whole-of-school investment in physical activity promotion in Thailand.”
Poster Presentation
- Mr. Danusorn Potharin presented a poster on “Economic valuation of brief advice intervention as part of routine care: How much does it cost to reduce the prevalence of physical inactivity and to avert death from NCDs?”
The presentations of the research results and methodologies from these four studies conducted in Thailand garnered significant attention from a large number of attendees at the conference.
