On April 11, 2023, the management team, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Manasigan Kanchanachitra, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jongjit Rittirong, Deputy Director of Curriculum Quality Development, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sudarat Musikawong, Deputy Director for International Relations, Networking, and Academic Service, participated in the Songkran Festival activities for the year 2023. Faculty members, researchers, staff, and students of the institute also joined the event, which was held to preserve Thai culture under the theme “Songkran Festival, Yesterday is Still Sweet”. The activities included a bathing ceremony for the Buddha images, pouring water on the elders as a gesture of respect, and congratulating the athletes of Mahidol Sports Day 2023. Additionally, charity karaoke activities were organized throughout the event to support the Handicapped Animal Welfare Foundation, which was located in front of Conference Room 101 on the first floor of the Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University.
