On April 2, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bhubate Samutachak from the Institute for Population and Social Research at Mahidol University participated in the forum “Who am I in this land? Voices from Youth and Migrant Families: Opportunities in Thai Society in the View of Civil Society”. The forum was part of the 3rd public forum “Someone, One of Many: Citizens across Borders – Thailand in the Country-Country in Thailand, and Challenges of a Multicultural Society” organized by the Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia (RILCA) at Mahidol University. During the event, Dr. Samutachak and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Morakot Meyer, Director of RILCA, along with youth representatives from Myanmar and Thai-Myanmar spouses exchanged and shared experiences, including listening to the voices of migrant families and youth, as well as views from Thai scholars on the opportunities that Thai society will receive from the transnational migration situation. The forum was moderated by Miss Ilada Pitsuwan and took place at Mahidol Sithakarn Convention Center, Mahidol University, Salaya.
