On March 16, 2023, the Thailand Physical Activity Knowledge Development Center (TPAK) at the Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, led by Dr. Dyah Anantalia Widyastari and the working group, held a meeting to discuss cooperation guidelines on health promotion projects for the Thai population, specifically children and the elderly. The presentation covered the roles, duties, and responsibilities of the Center, as well as information on the physical activity situation of the Thai population. Examples of ways to promote physical activity in Thai children and youth, such as the Thai-ACP project, the Active School project, and the Thailand Report Card, were also shared. Furthermore, the meeting presented a model for creating a space conducive to physical activity in Thailand, which received support from the Thai Health Promotion Foundation. A team of experts from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), namely Ihara Naoto (Head of Operation Department, Cerezo Osaka), and a working group consisting of Taniguchi Takayuki, Takahashi Yutaro, Koiwa Kenichiro (Staff of JICA Thai office), and Yoshida Tasuku (Staff of JICA HQ), were in attendance at Sra Bua Room (109), Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University.
