Thailand Physical Activity Knowledge Development Centre (TPAK), Institute for Population and Social Research in collaboration with the Centre for addiction and Mental Health, Canada by Associate Professor Dr.Aree Jampaklay, IPSR Director and Dr. Aristotle Voineskos, Vice President, Centre for addiction and Mental Health along with Asst.Prof. Dr. Piyawat Katewongsa and Prof.Dr. Jurgen Rehm jointly signed a research cooperation agreement on Cost Effectiveness Analysis of policy measures for the prevention of risk behaviors of NCDs (Non-Communicable Diseases) under the support of the Thai Health Promotion Foundation to know the operational effectiveness of health promotion measures in 5 dimensions consisting of 1) physical activity 2) Health risk foods, 3) cigarettes and tobacco, 4) alcoholic beverages, and 5) mental health. The information will be used to estimate the impacts on the health dimension of the Thai population over the next 20 years and formulate policies of Thailand.
