Professor Emeritus Dr. Pramote Prasartkul, Associate Professor Dr. Rossarin Gray and Assistant Professor Dr. Umaporn Pattaravanich are the speakers on “Public Hearing: Defining Older persons in Thailand” on August 28, 2014, organized by Bureau of Empowerment for Older Persons, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security at Eastin Hotel, Makkasan Bangkok. The purpose of this public hearing is about the definition of older persons stated in the Older Persons ACT B.E. 2546 whether it should be modified to be in line with current population ageing circumstances in Thailand. The findings will be submitted to the National Commission on Older Persons for policy formulation.
