H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over an opening ceremony of the Prince Mahidol Award Conference 2017 under the theme “Addressing the Health of Vulnerable Populations for an Inclusive Society”. The award was established in 1992 to honor the 100th birthday anniversary of Prince Mahidol of Songkla, whom Thais revere as the country’s “Father of Modern Medicine and Public Health.” He was also the father of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The event was held at Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld.
