Transitioning to digital education often feels daunting, but the journey is more accessible than many realize. This session provides a practical, “behind-the-scenes” look at the end-to-end development of the online course “The Basics of R” on the Mahidol University Continuing Education (MUCE) platform. We will explore the entire project lifecycle, starting with the initial inspiration and the strategic process of transforming traditional classroom materials into engaging online modules. The talk highlights the specific software tools and techniques used to create high-quality content efficiently, demonstrating that professional results are achievable with the right approach. Crucially, we discuss how MUCE staff provide the essential technical support that simplifies the workflow for faculty. Attendees will receive a firsthand look at the course interface and review our progress so far, including current enrollment data and student impact. By demystifying the development process, this session provides an initial start and layouts a roadmap for our institution’s next steps in expanding its online offerings.
