Biography:

Holds a Master’s of Science degree in Demography from University of Abuja, Nigeria. His M.Sc. thesis was titled “An Examination of Socio-economic Factors affecting Maternal Mortality in Gwagwalada, Abuja”. He obtained his first degree in Sociology (B.Sc.) from Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Nigeria.

He started his academic career in 2015 as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Demography and Social Statistics, Federal University Birnin-Kebbi. He is currently in the rank of Lecturer II in the same department. He teaches courses for undergraduate students in areas of Social Demography, Substantive Demography, Research Design and Development Demography among others.

His research interests include reproductive health (with particular focus on maternal health); population and development interrelationship; and research methodology.

He has attended and presented papers in conferences and has published five articles in journals and book chapters.
