Assoc. Prof. Denis Akankunda Bwesigye, an alumnus of IPSR, Mahidol University, has authored Uganda’s first National Community Health Strategy 2022-2026. The book, which was launched on 8-9 February, is a ground-breaking achievement and a significant contribution to the field of public health in Uganda.
The book launch was a significant event that featured a keynote address from the Director-General of WHO, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and
speeches from the USAID Health Mission-Uganda, the WHO Country Representative, and Uganda’s Minister of Health.
We would like to congratulate Assoc. Prof. Bwesigye on this remarkable achievement and we are proud to see one of our alumni making such a significant contribution to public health in Uganda.
