Between 17-23 October 2022, Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Pojjana Hunchangsith, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teeranong Sakulsri, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sirinya Phulkerd, Dr.Nongnuch Jindarattanaporn, Ms. Natjera Thongcharoenchupong, Ms. Wansuda Ngam-A-Roon and Ms. Thanaporn Kirdkaew attended the meeting International Congress on Obesity (ICO) 2022 in Melbourne Australia to present research findings in oral and poster form of the Project’s estimated health impacts from the tax hike measure, Marketing monitoring projects related to food and beverages for children and youth, The Fruit and Vegetable Consumption Behavior Survey Project, The South East Asia Obesogenic Food Environment (SEAOFE) Project, and the Governing Harmful Commodities: The Case of Ultra-processed Foods Project. Asst. Prof. Dr. Sirinya Phulkerd, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teeranong Sakulsri and Ms. Natjera Thongcharoenchupong also co-organized a workshop with researchers from Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines at the ICO on the topic of “How to conduct offline data collection in the middle of Covid-19 pandemic in LMICs”. In addition, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pojjana Hunchangsith, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sirinya Phulkerd, Dr. Nongnuch Jindarattanaporn and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teeranong Sakulsi and international academic networks also meeting to discuss ongoing research projects and future research.
