On March 28, 2566 BE, Assistant Professor Dr. Sirinya Phulkerd from the Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, along with Dr. Weerapak Samsiripong, an alumnus of the institute, served as a facilitator and note taker in the Asia-Pacific region workshop on “Accelerating worldwide action on ultra-processed foods: countering corporate interference, addressing structural barriers, and lessons from public health successes”. The workshop was held online and organized by the researchers of the Lancet Series on Ultra-processed Foods and Human Health project. The objective was to exchange and learn from the experiences of countries in the Asia-Pacific region and discuss future strategies to reduce the consumption of ultra-processed foods.
