Between October 25–28, 2025, Lect. Dr. Pattaphol Yuktadatta, IPSR, Mahidol University, participated in the training “The Application of the Degree of Urbanization (DOU) for Demographic Research and Policy Analysis.” The training focused on concepts and definitions of DOU/DEGURBA, an internationally standardized framework for urban–rural classification endorsed by the United Nations Statistical Commission in 2020, as well as technical tools and experience-sharing among researchers and policymakers.
Subsequently, on October 29–30, 2025, Dr. Pattaphol attended the Fourth Asian Population Forum, organized by the Asian Demographic Research Institute (ADRI), Shanghai University, in collaboration with IIASA, where he presented the paper “Examining Hiring Discrimination through Direct Signaling: A Correspondence Study in the Thai Labour Market,” in Shanghai, China.
