On 9 October 2025, the Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR), Mahidol University, in collaboration with the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), organized the second session of the “Asia-Africa Learning Exchange in Food Policy Research and Advocacy” webinar series on the topic “Taxing Unhealthy Food, Improving Food Environments (1): Research Insights from National and Global Experience.”

The session was moderated by Ms. Madiha Ahmed, Senior Program Specialist, IDRC (Canada), and hosted by Dr. Sarunya Sujaritpong, DVM, Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University.
Special discussants included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Surasak Kantachuvesiri, Chair of the Thai Less Salt Network, and Mr. Natthaphon Supadul, Director of the Excise Tax Policy Division, Fiscal Policy Office, Ministry of Finance, Thailand.
