Workshop “Data to Dialogue: Bringing Thai Health into Public Conversation” Builds a Network for Health Communication

On 29 August 2025, the Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR), Mahidol University, in collaboration with the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth), organized the workshop “Data to Dialogue: Bringing Thai Health into Public Conversation.” The event was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chalermpol Chamchan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bhubate Samutachak, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Manasigan Kanchanachitra, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sakkarin Niyomsilpa, and the working team.

The workshop aimed to translate the key findings of the Thai Health Report 2025 into clear, accessible formats that could be effectively communicated across various media platforms. It was held at Srabua Room (109), IPSR, Mahidol University.

In addition to knowledge sharing, the event featured a participatory forum for exchanging perspectives on “Key Indicators and Emerging Issues,” which are currently being developed for the Thai Health Report 2026. This provided participants with the opportunity to contribute to identifying and shaping the most relevant health topics for public communication.

The workshop was not only a platform for presenting data but also for building alliances between the Thai Health Report team and health communication networks, including representatives from SDG Move, theSPACE, Mutual, Toolmorrow, Dee Tuk Wan Publishing, Thai PBS (Social and Quality of Life Program Division), as well as independent media outlets. The shared goal is to disseminate health information that is accurate, reliable, and socially responsive, while also laying the groundwork for future collaboration.
