On July 4, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chalermpol Chamchan, Director of the Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, represented the institute in receiving an honorary plaque from Mr. Wichai Chaimongkol, Advisor to the Minister of Public Health. The recognition was given in appreciation of the institute’s collaboration with the Thai Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in developing AI technology to detect and eliminate illegal health products sold on online platforms. The award presentation took place during the event titled “Empowering Thai FDA – Ensuring Safe E-Commerce Products with Consumer Confidence.”
Additionally, Dr. Nongnuch Jindarattanaporn, a faculty member of the Institute for Population and Social Research, participated as a guest speaker in the panel discussion on the topic “AI Innovation Enhancing Consumer Protection Through Safe E-Commerce Products.” The event was held at the main conference room, 10th floor, OSSC Building, Thai FDA.
