IPSR Mahidol University, Ratchaburi Province, and the Equitable Education Fund Collaborate to Develop Guidelines for Supporting Out-of-School Children and Youth in Ratchaburi Province

On March 6, 2025, at the Office of the Education Commission Region 3, Ratchaburi Province, the Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR), Mahidol University, in collaboration with Ratchaburi Province and the Equitable Education Fund, co-organized a meeting to develop operational guidelines for identifying, supporting, and reintegrating out-of-school children and youth in Ratchaburi Province. The initiative, known as “Ratchaburi Zero Dropout,” is part of the broader Thailand Zero Dropout project, which focuses on establishing mechanisms and database systems to support area-based education management. Ms. Piyada Muang-im, Deputy Provincial Education Officer of Ratchaburi Province, presided over the meeting.

The meeting provided a platform for various stakeholders to exchange ideas and collaboratively design strategies for addressing educational disparities. Discussions focused on reviewing existing operational frameworks, enhancing efforts to ensure educational access for out-of-school children and youth, and defining roles and procedures for identifying, supporting, and reintegrating them into the education system. Participants included representatives from government agencies, educators, and educational personnel from relevant institutions.
