Currently serving as a Strategic Information Advisor at UNAIDS Multi-country Office for Cambodia, Lao PDR and Malaysia, Dr. Shwe brings extensive expertise in leveraging data to drive impactful public health strategies and initiatives. In this session, Dr. Shwe will share his journey from his academic roots at IPSR to becoming a key figure in addressing the HIV epidemic across the Asia-Pacific region. He will discuss his work in data-driven HIV response, the importance of disaggregated data in reducing health inequities, and the critical role of social research in shaping policies and programs.
