On January 7, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chalermpol Chamchan, Director of the Institute for Population and Social Research, together with Mr. Jarin Eawsawat, Local Government Officer of Nakhon Pathom Province, and the Mayors of 20 Local Government Organizations from Mueang, Nakhon Chai Si, Sam Phran, and Phutthamonthon District, participated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on “Enhancing the Capacity of Local Government Organization Personnel” as part of the training course ” Enhancing the Capacity of Local Government Organization Personnel in Utilizing Population Data for an Active Aging Society.”
The event was honored by the presence of Emeritus Professor Dr. Pramote Prasartkul, Senior Advisor to the Institute and Project Advisor, as well as Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sutthida Chuanwan, Deputy Director for General Administration and Principal Investigator, alongside Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jongjit Rittirong, Deputy Director for Research, and the research team. The signing ceremony took place at the Prachasangkom Udompathana Meeting Room (101), 1st floor, Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University.
This collaboration aims to enhance the capacity of personnel in Local Government Organizations to effectively utilize local population data in targeted planning. The initiative seeks to promote the well-being of people of all ages within the community, fostering an energetic and empowered aging society.
