Between November 27-30, 2024, the Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, as the Secretariat Office of the Asian Population Association (APA), co-organized the 6th APA Conference 2024 in collaboration with the Central Department of Population Studies, Tribhuvan University and APA as the primary hosts. The event took place in Kathmandu, Nepal, with Associate Professor Dr. Chalermpol Chamchan, Director of IPSR, attending in the role of Executive Secretary of APA.
The conference brought together over 400 participants, including academics, researchers, policymakers, and government officials from around the world, to discuss key demographic issues in Asia. The program featured more than 400 oral and poster presentations and 7 special sessions. 10 faculty members and researchers from IPSR presented their work.
